Build It Green!NYC has partnered with NYRP and MillionTreesNYC to give away 300 trees this month! We are hosting a giveaway on Saturday, May 17th from 11am to 1pm at our Queens reuse center and another giveaway on Sunday, May 18th from 11am to 1pm at our Brooklyn reuse center. You must register for the correct date/location, tree requests are non-transferrable.

Sample selection of trees from the Build It Green!NYC FREE Tree Giveaway on Sunday, May 18th 2014:

What will I have to agree to if I want a tree?

  • I will plant my tree in the ground and care for my tree according to NYRP guidelines.
  • I will plant my tree in the ground on property I have permission to plant on that is within the 5 boroughs of New York City.
  • I grant NYRP and Build It Green! NYC - Brooklyn rights to take and use photos and videos of me and all parties that come to the event with me, including minors, without compensation.
  • The information I provide can be shared by NYRP with Build It Green! NYC - Brooklyn for follow up about your tree and outreach.

Other things to know:

  • Limit one tree per address.
  • You may not change the species of tree you will receive after you have registered.
  • Providing invalid data will cause your reservation to be cancelled.
  • To have someone else pick up your tree you must provide them with a copy of your photo ID.
