Antique Victorian Double Inkwell Edwardian Brass Bronze Ink Stand the initials BW on the bottom. The mark BW is mostly unknown and has been identified as J.A. Bratt & Sons (tin-plate workers 1800's to early 1900's) of Wolverhampton (English/British) in the past. The footed inkwell base is brass plated over cast bronze or iron (not sure - definitely ferrous) in a beautiful swirled shell pattern. The lid for the right side inkwell is missing and perfect for holding calligraphy pens and other handwriting tools. There are typical signs of aging you would expect to see in an 19th Century antique.
